Trophies!

The girls were AMAZING this weekend in their softball tournaments! It was unbelievable! They played a total of 7 games and only lost 1! They both brought home 2nd place trophies. They were at the fields Sunday playing from 9 am until 10 pm! No joke! Highlights: Skyler was catching, her team is only winning by 1 point, there are 2 outs, there was a girl on third and first... the girl on first attempted to steal 2nd, Skyler throws the ball and gets her out ending the game with a win! That was the second time in that game she was able to throw a girl out at 2nd!
So proud! Rylee has never played 3rd base before but the 3rd baseman sprained her wrist.... so, the coach picked Rylee to play 3rd. She was awesome! Last inning of the semi-final: There is a girl on third, Rylee is up to bat and bunts a high ball perfectly! (she probably should not have gone for it, it was NOT a strike. But, she does it anyway and makes it to first by the skin of her teeth bringing a girl into home and we win the game! So proud!

Softball

Rylee and Skyler have been doing soooo awesome in softball this season! They are so fun to watch! Skyler plays catcher and first base. Rylee plays 2nd base and outfield! This weekend they have their first tournament of the spring season! Skyler`s team is Twilight and Rylee`s is Shredders.

March 3rd

Happy March!
I can`t believe it is already March! Time is flying by! The countdown is on until I finish school, only 14 months! Rylee leaves tomorrow morning for 5th grade Science camp. It makes me a little nervous! She will be home Friday though.
The girls have had 3 softball games already. Their teams ROCK! They are so much fun to watch. I will post pictures soon. Well, I better get back to my homework! God Bless! Shannon

Catch up!

I figured I need to catch you all up! (since I have so many people looking at my blog! hahahaha!!!) Third week of school already. It`s going great! Got an A on my first test! Back at Hoag tomorrow! The big bummer...... I applied for financial aid and they denied me! They said I have too many units, so I have to petition. It is such a pain in the butt! Nothing is easy! I have to apply for student loans too, I cannot afford anything right now when there is no work for Archie! It sucks, we are going down! But I know I should think positive and keep praying!

Amazing first Day!

Yesterday was my first big day at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach as an intern ultrasound technologist! I loved every minute of it and can`t wait to go back! I have waited 6 years for this moment and can`t believe it is here. I love the dark forest green scrubs I get to wear. The only problem, I am swimmimg in them. They are huge! So, my mom, to the rescue, again, is sewing them! 15 more months to go and I will be a Registered diagnostic medical sonographer!

EIGHT!!!!

As I was looking over my classes that I will be starting next week and printing the millions of papers/syllibi I need, I realized..... I have EIGHT classes!! CRAZY!! I am getting very nervous! I don`t have a single book yet and I start on Monday! Why no books? No money! Still waiting for my grant. My book costs just for this semester are $700!
At least one of my eight classes is a voice class. Did I mention I love to sing? Ya, I have a 5 hour break in between classes, so I found a voice class.
So.... Monday morning I will be rising at 4:45 AM to get on the freeway by 5:45AM to battle parking (?) and be in class by 7:00AM! I will hopefully be home by 6PM!!

Our girls are allowed a birthday party every other year. And this year Skyler wanted to go Cosmic bowling with her friends and cousins. She had a fun time!

I made it through the semi-finals yesterday at the Karaoke contest! My mom and dad (pictured) my brother, Nathan, Archie, Amy, Kiley, Dave, Stefani, Carl and Karen were all there to cheer me on! It was a blast!!! The finals are on Feb. 22nd at Old World Village

So, I kinda had to cheat a little on the tag photo deal. Julie tagged me and said to go to the 4th folder and submit the 4th photo, but it ended up being a random picture of random people far away at a baseball game..... soooo boring! So, I chose the third folder, third picture. And here is Skyler, her 2nd year of softball. She will be starting her 4th year in Feb! I tag Kelly, Amy and Jacque!

American Girl doll

Skyler`s new love is for the American Girl Dolls! I love it! It is so sweet that she is 10 yrs. old (on the 26th) and still loves playing and sleeping with her dolls. Me and Amy took her and her friend Chloe to LA yesterday to the HUGE American Girl Doll store! It was a fun adventure. They have a hair salon for the dolls! Skyler had her doll, Julie`s ears pierced! There are a million little (and some big!) girls walking around with their dolls! It is pretty funny! She can`t wait to go back and I know this stage in her life won`t last much longer, so I am soaking it all in!

On January 11th I will be singing in the semi-finals in a karaoke contest at the Surf City Saloon in HB!
